  5. STOP! Registration for Learn-to-Skate USA insurance is MANDATORY PER SKATER! Make sure to have your CURRENT number before you sign up for class, as your LTS USA number is required during the registration process. This is ONLY done once per season (July 1-June 30) and NOT done through Ice Land. This is a requirement from US Figure Skating - for all participants in any of their programs.
    1. *Head to to register with Learn to Skate USA! (Choose Ice Land Skating Center from the list!) A registration PER skater is required.
    2. *Numbers will be checked. If your number is expired, not valid or blank, you will be asked to acquire a LTS USA number before your child can participate in our program. Writing N/A is not an acceptable answer. This is MANDATORY! Save yourself the trouble and get your valid and current LTS USA number before you proceed! Refunds WILL NOT be given because you don't want to get a LTS USA number.
    3. NEW - *Skaters badges will not be on the front table on the first day of class, if the number entered isn't current/valid. Once a valid number is obtained and shown to the front desk, skaters will receive their badge for class! Badges are required for class! *
  6. If you have any questions, please call the rink at 609-588-6672 or email our skating director Jenn at!

NEW! Learn to Skate off-ice training! Learn to Skate off-ice will focus on functional fitness methods that will work on balance, agility, core strength and coordination enhancement utilizing yoga, stretching and exercises that train the body for everyday activities. Off-ice is an imperative component of ice skating whether a figure skater, hockey player or recreational skater. Plus it's fun and who doesn't like to have fun!? Sneakers are required. Participants will meet by Locker Room 4 in the Phantoms Rink.

Class times are Fridays at 6:45 or 7:15p, or Sundays at 12:30p  giving skaters time to practice  before their off-ice class! Walk-ins will be allowed if we can accommodate but the price will increase.

Mini Chiefs, Intro to Hockey, Ice Land, Hamilton, NJ

NEW! Have littles who are interested in hockey? Enter the Mini Chiefs! The Mini Chiefs will join our regular Learn to Play program, the Junior Chiefs, on Saturday mornings at 9:10a. The Mini Chiefs MUST be enrolled in our Learn to Skate program to do the Mini Chiefs program, as they still need their skating skills through Basic 4 to move to our Learn to Play program. Classes will run for a half hour and will be discounted. Hockey helmet, hockey skates (Can use rentals!), hockey stick, hockey pants, shoulder pads, elbow pads and shin guards are needed. Talk to Heather at if you have any questions about gear or the program. We will have Mini Chiefs jerseys to purchase if you are interested! * Advanced Freestyle is for anyone Freestyle 1 and higher looking for a longer class time with more instruction time focusing on moves-in-the-field, edges, stroking and freestyle. Fridays class runs from 6-7p and Sundays from 9:30-10:30a.

** The Hockey class within Learn-to-Skate focuses on edge work, crossovers, turns and other important skating skills to further develop the hockey player. No sticks. No pucks. Hockey skates and cage helmets are required. Gear is not required but many choose to wear it. We request that skaters have passed AT LEAST Basic 4 before joining the hockey class, so they know how to do forward and backward c cuts and have a basic knowledge of crossovers.

*** The early adult class is ONLY for beginner adults for those who have never skated or do not know any skating skills yet. Beginner adults can choose the 5:30 or 6:30 class on Fridays or the 10:30a or 12p class on Sundays. I know many parents want to learn how to skate but do not want to wait for the later class when their kids are done skating. We are hoping this makes it easier for many adults to learn how to skate!
